Sausage, Peppers and Onions… Sliders!

We love sausage, peppers and onions. That’s L-O-V-E! And what better way to show our devotion than to make a party slider recipe with them?

Don’t skip out on the butter topping because it truly makes a difference by providing a butter crunch to the slider. Once again, you won’t be disappointed!


Sausage, Peppers & Onions Sliders

  1. 5 Italian sausage links, hot or mild
  2. 1 yellow onion, sliced
  3. 2 bell peppers, sliced
  4. 1/2 cup sun dried tomatoes, chopped
  5. 1 tbsp olive oil
  6. 1 tsp red pepper flakes
  7. 1 tbsp dried oregano
  8. 1/2 cup Marsala red wine
  9. 1 package King's Hawaiian rolls
  10. 1 cup mozzarella, shredded
  11. 1/2 cup butter, melted
  12. 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  13. 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  14. 1/4 cup bread crumbs
  1. In a hot pan coated with olive oil, brown sausage (doesn't need to be cooked through!).
  2. In your slow cooker, combine onions, peppers, sun dried tomatoes, olive oil, red pepper flakes, oregano, wine and sausage. Cook on high for 6 hours.
  3. Remove sausage from slow cooker and slice. Return to slow cooker and mix.
  4. In a 9x9 baking pan, line with parchment paper.
  5. Slice the the top of the King's Hawaiian rolls and place the bottom in the prepared baking pan.
  6. Layer on mozzarella cheese and top with sausage mixture.
  7. Place the top of the King's Hawaiian rolls.
  8. In a small bowl combine butter, garlic powder, Italian seasoning and bread crumbs. Mix together.
  9. Spread butter mixture over the top of the Hawaiian rolls.
  10. Bake at 350-degrees F for 20-30 minutes.
  11. Let cool for 5 minutes, slice and enjoy!
